Canon Details	Have you heard the one about the hidden prince who was raised as a commoner? That's Jarlaxle, kind of. Only he never got formally acknowledged by his family (i.e. the ruling house of Menzoberranzan) so instead he formed a mercenary company in hopes of gaining power and security in one of the few ways that a male alone in Menzoberranzan can. He met his greatest and truest friend by kidnapping him for money, then thoroughly regretted it after he understood where he'd delivered him to. Three hundred years later, that friend got sacrificed to Lolth. Less than half a century later, Jarlaxle headed up to the Surface where he got into a TERRIBLE relationship with a magic rock and followed that up with an overdue midlife crisis where he became an adventurer for a while. He reclaimed his mercenary company, adopted a shitty pirate city, and tried to help his dead friend's son whenever possible. Then he got recalled to Menzoberranzan and when he got back his best friend came back from the goddamn dead. He endured a siege, visited the North Pole, and now he's looking for hidden treasure while disguised as a carnie. ( Technically what happened between the end of Glacier's Edge to the start of Dragon Heist is currently a mystery to me, his player, as well as Jarlaxle, because Lolth's Warrior won't be published until August. Oops?)

Age	In his late 500s, which is basically late middle age for an elf.	Hair/Eyes	He shaves his head, but it would otherwise be white. Has the Baenre amber eyes.
Physical Stature	Tall for a drow (roughly 5'10) and willowy as fuck.	Notable Traits	The eyepatch stays on except for bathing.
15 Second Summary	Ridiculous peacock bastard man who is far, far too clever for his own good. Fundamentally a kind and friendly person, except he grew up in a city controlled by a fucked up cult and did what he had to in order to get by. He loves scheming, fucking, magic items, being gaudy AF and people who are trash murder.
