Not long after arriving to this plane, Jarlaxle saw some small green spiders hiding in a tree and decided he must make one his. The subsequent effort to capture one (which Kimmuriel recorded) saw him climbing the tree and then falling out when the branch below him broke. One pokemon battle later, Jarlaxle had his orbb.
He evolved from Spinarak to Ariados shortly after the battle with the Alpha Braviary. Jarlaxle was very, very pleased.
