After they fought the Alpha Braviary together, Kiri gave Jarlaxle and Kimmuriel a trio of eggs to help them with their future transportation needs. Little Honglath was the first of the eggs to hatch, but Jarlaxle didn't train him or his compatriots for the first few weeks because he didn't know that the creatures of this world can be trained immediately after leaving their eggs.
He ended up evolving the first time the week after Jarlaxle got his Zephyr badge. He evolved again the ensuing week after the very strange weekend when Jarlaxle became an elf once more.
His ability is Keen Eye. Other pokemon can't lower his accuracy. His nature is Brave; he's alert to sounds. Received as an egg from Kiri. (His name translates to bravery, calm.)
